Basic Church Supper Brown Bread

Came recommended, never made it.

  • ½ c white flour
  • ½ c slow oats
  • ½ c wheat flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • ½ t salt
  • 3/8 c molasses
  • 1 c sour cream

Mix well. Pour into coffee can or two smaller (fruit) cans, fill just a bit more than half. Place aluminum foil over can and secure with rubber-band. Place in simmering water so that water is 2/3 up can, steam for 2½-3 hours.
