- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest chopped
- 1 egg well beaten
- ¾ cup chopped nuts
- 2 cups cranberries chopped
Preheat to 350. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and soda, salt. Cut in butter to course meal stage. Combine orange juice and zest with beaten egg and pour into flour mixture. Mix just enough to dampen. Carefully fold in nuts and berries. Spoon into greased and floured loaf pan (9x5x3). Bake 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes. Turn to wire rack.
